Yip Man’s son Yip Chun and Si Kwok Lam apologized to Yuen Kay San’s grandson for disrespect

Classy and hopefully it’ll receive proper coverage in the rest of the world, in all languages. Sad it couldn’t happen before Sum Nung passed away though:
Wing Chun master Si Kwok Lam and Yip Chun co-produced movie “Yip man”, who had apologized 6 times and “served Tea” to Yuen Kay San’s grandson(left in picture, wearing glasses) for misrepresenting and disrespectful to the Lengendary death dual champion during 1920-1950s during a news conference in China, Mr. Si and Yip admitted in front of documents and witness that Yuen Kay San represented Wing Chun family and answer all the public death duals in Foshan in those years, he is senior to Yipman in the Wing Chun family tree.

Yuen Kay San was a great Wing Chun Master. Yip Man never denied it. The story was not founded by Yip Man. Yip Man and Yuen Kay San were good friends. (Sorry for my english)
There is no doubt that Yuen Kay San was one of the all time great Grand Master of Wing Chun. And i wish there could be more coverage of Yuen Kay San.
However, after watching this video several times, although the Cantonese reporting at the background was very quiet, i can make out of what was reported. It only says that the movie misrepresented Yuean Kay San and Yuo Choi (in the movie Ip man had to rescure them). But in real life, both masters were just as good. Students and grand students of Yuen Kay San and Yuo Choi weren’t happy about how their masters were protrayed in the movie. Therefore Sin Kwok Lam and Ip Chun went to China to apologize. But i don’t hear any mention of the “Lengendary death dual champion during 1920-1950s” or “representation of Wing Chun Family by Yuen Kay Shan” in this particular clip.
Can someone clarify about the so called death dual or Yuen Kay Shan representing Wing Chun in China?
Yip Man was the highest in skill in Wing Chun…..seniority or not! It was because the hidden skills were passed on to him by Leung Bik and none other. After learning from Leung Bik, he went home to Fatsan and beat his seniors. The skill of Yuen Kay Shan can be seen thru his older brother that immigrated to Vietnam. The apology had nothing to do with Ip Chun admitting to Yuen Kay Shan Family that his father was of a lesser skill. Unfortunately Yip Man passed his art to a limited few, their students carry the standard.

It’s only obvious to the few highest level wing chun practitioners. The advanced footwork, correct Jong sao(faceing),gate coverage and kicking is left out of most Hong kong wing chun. This is Lueng Bik knowledge that Yip Man deleated. Traditional or Opera wing Chun possess it while others dont. Yet they still denounce any other system as fake if not Yip Mans.
